Summary/objective
The Business Development Executive is responsible for identifying and pursuing growth opportunities, cultivating strategic relationships with enterprise clients, and driving revenue through effective solution-based sales. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of client business challenges and the ability to align WebCE’s products and services to meet those needs, ensuring mutual value and sustainable business expansion.
Supervisory responsibilities
None: This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities. However, collaboration with team members, cross-functional coordination, and adherence to company policies and procedures are expected to contribute to overall team success.

- Attract new clients by innovating and overseeing the sales channel for emerging products
- Collaborate with senior team members to identify and mitigate risks that could hinder growth
- Identify and research new and existing market opportunities to fuel business expansion
- Prepare and deliver compelling pitches and presentations showcasing WebCE’s products and services
- Foster a collaborative business environment to combine efforts and align business development strategies with company objectives.
- Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions
- Cultivate positive, long-lasting relationships with current and potential clients.
- Execute outbound campaigns (calls, emails, etc.) to generate sales opportunities
- Maintain detailed records of client activities in CRM systems
- Develop and present proposals tailored to each client’s specific business needs
- Ensure exceptional customer service through regular client follow-ups
- Build rapport with key decision makers to facilitate business growth
- Translate proposals into ready-to-sign contracts.
- Manage the entire sales lifecycle from prospecting to implementation
- Conduct both virtual and in-person sales meetings effectively

Required education and experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Experience in the insurance industry or in supporting the industry through software-as-a-service solutions, online learning, or corporate training.
Work environment
- May occasionally require availability during evenings, weekends, or holidays to meet business or client needs.
- Professional business attire may be required for client-facing interactions or formal meetings.
- This position is eligible for a hybrid or remote work arrangement, in accordance with the employee handbook, and requires in-office presence for scheduled meetings and as determined by departmental requirements.
Physical demands
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer and/or phone
- May occasionally be required to lift or carry items weighing up to 10 lbs (e.g., office supplies or equipment).
Travel
- Must be willing and able to travel to the corporate office in Dallas, TX, approximately 3-4 times a year.
- Approximately 10% travel per year for conferences, trade shows, and client visits.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE
As a Business Development Executive, you will be at the forefront of introducing Exceed, WebCE’s innovative learning solution, to enterprise-level Property and Casualty insurance organizations. You will identify and pursue strategic opportunities, develop impactful approaches to engage decision-makers, and deliver compelling presentations that demonstrate the value of Exceed for workforce development and compliance. Your expertise in building relationships, understanding industry trends, and collaborating with internal teams will be essential as you drive adoption and growth within the Property and Casualty sector.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, your daily focus will be on connecting with senior leaders and stakeholders at large Property and Casualty insurance firms to understand their business challenges and training needs. You will conduct targeted market research, craft tailored proposals, and present Exceed’s capabilities in both virtual and in-person meetings. Managing the sales process from initial contact through contract negotiation and implementation, you will maintain detailed records of client interactions, provide ongoing support, and ensure a seamless onboarding experience. Your efforts will foster long-term partnerships and position Exceed as the preferred solution for enterprise insurance clients.
Qualifications
We are seeking candidates with a minimum of seven years of experience in sales, business development, or a related discipline, with a proven track record of success in the Property and Casualty insurance sector. Extensive knowledge of Property and Casualty insurance or experience supporting the industry through enterprise software solutions, online learning platforms, or corporate training is highly valued. The ideal candidate will demonstrate advanced communication, negotiation, and analytical skills, along with the ability to close complex sales and influence senior decision-makers within large organizations. Experience presenting innovative products to executive-level stakeholders and driving adoption in enterprise environments is essential.
WebCE has offices located in Dallas, TX and Chicago, IL with active employees located in Arkansas, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan, North Carolina, Texas at the time of this job listing.
